April Randoms

 

Here are some pictures of my hair cut and of me at 31 weeks pregnant.

Addison - Caroline

Not sure where this deer came from but it was in our neighbors yard and the girls were thrilled to go outside and watch it.

After a lot of rain

 

 

 

We had a ton of rain that created big puddles in our yard. The best part was that it was also warm once the rain stopped so we let the girls go out and puddle jump. They were super excited!

Addison with Bjorn.  We moved in with my parents towards the end of the April and the girls have been loving living with cats :)

 

Easter

This year I decided to go easy on myself and just make skirts for Easter instead of dresses.  I found these cute variations of simple circle skirts on Pinterest but made with a double layer of squares.  I was proud that I was able to produce something from Pinterest that came out pretty similar.  The only difference was the waste line but that is something I purposely changed.

Addison is one happy camper :)

This was a moment that made me happy, Caroline got the last peep and handed it to Addison without anyone prompting her to because Addison did not have as many as her.  I love these sweet moments between the two of them where they really show that they care for one another.

After church we headed over to Northbrook Village for lunch with my dad's side of the family.  Addison and Caroline made several trips to this fish tank

After lunch we headed to Scott's Aunt and Uncle's house.  Of course, I forgot to take pictures.  We had a full day of fun with family and we ended the day with Caroline throwing up in the car on the way home from eating too much candy :)  Months later, she still talks about it.

February and March Randoms

When I was growing up, my dad would take me or one of my sisters on a date once a week.  I have fond memories of these date nights and I knew this was something I wanted Scott to do with our girls.   My favorite date place was the pet store so that is where Scott took Caroline for the first time.

I had a Valentine's Day caramel order this year so I decided to try to get them cut in a heart shape.  They turned out pretty cute.

We made bird feeders from oranges one day.  Unfortunately, they blew off the tree before we got to watch any birds eating from them.  Oh well.

We sold the Impala in March.  We are now a one car family and it has been great so far!

January Randoms

We had an unseasonable warm day in January so I decided to take the girls on a walk to the beach.  It was nice to get outdoors for a little while.

 

The Baha'i Temple was just a few blocks from the house we were living in at the time.  The Temple is so beautiful.

I never knew this area with little dunes was at this particular beach.  Addison and Caroline enjoyed exploring the different areas and walking on the paths.

Because of the warm weather there was a thunderstorm.  We opened up the front doors and enjoyed watching the lightning and pouring rain.

They felt the occasion called for their frog hats.

They came to a baby Dr. appointment with me and so afterwards they started playing "Doctor" when they would lay on the table an pretend to give each other check-ups.  Very cute.

Snow & Rob and Beth's Wedding!

In late December we had a big snowfall.  I love lots of snow that covers everything in white and makes everything beautiful.

Rob and Beth got married on December 29th.

During the Matrons of Honor speech Nolan went up there and just stood in front of them.  He then shouted, "Hey!"  I could not stop laughing!

Instead if hitting your glass to have Beth and Rob kiss you had to get a hole-in-one.  It was a fun idea.
