4th of July Parade

We went to the 4th of July parade in Winnetka for the first time.  It was 45 minutes long and was pretty good.  Here are some of my favorite parts of the parade:

Everyone ready for it to start

Renee slept through the whole thing!

Watching with Daddy

The owner of the Blackhawks fresh off of the Stanley Cup win!

These girls were great.  They were so sassy.

Bluegrass band

You have to have bag pipers

The Jesse White Tumblers.  One of them even did a flip from the sidewalk to the street directly over Scott, Caroline and my dad.  It was pretty unexpected and great.  Too bad I didn't get a picture!

Old school fire truck

Zamboni

Cubs trolley!!!

Horse drawn carriage

Scott's Resort....Final Part

A beautiful rainbow and its reflection

The Cam Johnson girls.  Sonja was not in the mood for a picture, ha!

Addison fishing with daddy

Caroline: "Look, there's a fishy!"

Caroline fishing with daddy

Addison was thrilled to catch one!

Touching the fish

Scott having some fun sticking the fish close to their faces

Addison had no idea the fish was right there.  Her reaction when she turned her head a moment later was priceless.  Too bad I did not get a picture.  Oh well.

Caroline's reaction to the surprise fish by your face fun.

Sand volcano!

It took 3 weeks for Renee's belly button to fall off so she had her first bath up at Scott's Resort.  She had an ok reaction.  A little bit of crying and a little bit of happiness.  Gwen was happy to be my helper!

Post bath and all cozy now.  So cute!

Another rainbow!  Impromptu family picture that turned out well.

Funny faces :)

Sisters and best friends.  Makes my heart happy :)

Naomi loved holding Renee too

Naomi's facial expression is great in this one!

Cousins!  We were just missing Lucia who was already in bed :(

This is the same rainbow from the family picture above that faded and came back even more beautiful and picturesque.

Scott's Resort....Part 2

A classic shot of my dad

Sonja giving it a try

Kenny caught a snake!

He let it go in the water so we could see if it could swim.  It can!

When the snake reached the rocks along the shore a big toad jumped out in the water.  Caroline was very interested.  She is certainly my daughter!  Addison was still sleeping so she missed out on the snake and toad fun.

Gwen had to hold it too.

Me and Scott

Our night in Eagle River starts with pizza and games at Alexander's Pizza.   Here is Addison going for a ride.

Caroline - Renee - Addison
My 3 lovely ladies

Next stop after pizza, ice cream!

Addison - Caroline
I didn't even think of ordering a kid size, whoops!  They each ate most of their ice cream!

The Clausen crew

Caroline - Naomi - Addison
Cousins!

After ice cream we stop at the candy store and then on to more fun with go-karts and a bounce castle.  Here they are waiting for their first time go-karting!!  They were very excited.

Linnea and Naomi having a good time

Daddy and Addison waiting for to go.  She thought they were very loud but was happy to try them.

Caroline on the other hand was very nervous.  She tried to get out several times but I finally convinced her to go around the track a few times.  We went around 3 times before she was ready to call it a day.  I was very proud of her for trying even though she was scared!

Grandpa and Sonja

Scott/Addison - Me/Caroline

They were scared of the bounce castle last year but this year they had a lot of fun!  Caroline is in the back and Addison in front of her.

Gwen bouncing down the slide.

The lake we were on.  This was during some storms that were across the lake.

Me and Renee at 3 weeks old.

Linnea trying out her paddle boarding skills.

The best game ever!

Cutie pie!
