Seattle....Final Part

Our final day in Seattle started with a brunch at Erik's parents house.  It was great to get together one last time.  I love these people and I am always happy to be together with them!!!  It does not happen often enough!

After the brunch, Scott and I took off for some time just the 2 of us.  We headed off to Mr. Rainier National Park.  We were really happy to be able to squeeze this into our trip.

Driving to the park with Mt. Rainier in the background.

The last part of the drive to the park was super dusty.  It was actually really bad on the way out because the sun was setting and we were behind a car kicking up dust right in front of us which would cause us to not see anything in front of us at times.  To top it off, some of the turns had quite the drop off with no rails to prevent you from going off the edge.  It was a nerve racking drive to say the least but we made it!

A glimpse on our way up to the starting point of our hike.

We started our hike at Lake Mowich.  It was a great place to start because it is not as popular as some of the other spots so the trail was not crowded.

Being one with nature :)

At the starting point.

Eunice Lake was around the half way point and the second half was going up to that little house you see at the top of the picture.

Beautiful.  It was a perfect day to hike!

We made it to the end of the hike, Tolmie Peak!

Back to Mowich Lake

To cap off the hike, it ended with walking over a mound of snow.  This was the only snow we encountered on the whole hike.

And that was our trip to Seattle!  We hope to make it back some time because we had a great time. There is so much more to see and there are always good friends to visit!
